"ENYA?" WHAT DOES IT MEAN?
SUCH AN INTERESTING NAME! As all you can guess, the question " What does Enya mean?" is probably the one I get asked the most,but believe me or not I've never gotten tired of answering it and explaining why I'm named Enya :) Well, there is a singer who is called Enya. However, her actual name is "Eithne"(anglicised as Enya) and this means "little fire, kernel(seed)". It's an Irısh name. Actually it hasn't been long since I've discovered the original meaning of my name. I've spent years trying to get a little information about the meaning because whenever someone asked me what the meaning was I could only tell the story behind it and not the definition of it. THE STORY BEHIND IT? Yes, there is actually a lovely story behind my name. Although my mom really loved Enya's songs back when she was younger, I'm not actually named after the singer.
